IELTS Test format paper based
There are two exam formats like IELTS pen and paper exam format and IELTS computer-based exam format.
The IELTS exam is divided into two versions such as IELTS academic and IELTS general training. There are four sections like listening, reading, writing and speaking in both modules or versions. The IELTS exam is used to assess the candidate’s communication skills, which are necessary for the higher education, immigration and global migration.Most of the countries prefer IELTS pen and paper based exam format. In listening, reading and writing sections, the candidate must use pen or pencil to answer the questions on a paper.
IELTS Speaking test Format:
IELTS speaking test is face to face interview, conducted by the IELTS examiner. IELTS Speaking format is same for both Paper based and Computer delivered IELTS test.
IELTS Listening test Format:
IELTS listening test, the candidate has to listen to recordings on conversations between two people, and monologues on an academic subject and social context. In order to write the answers to the series of questions asked from the related conversations, the candidate must prefer IELTS pen and paper based exam format. The examiner will provide the OMR sheet or paper to write the answers. This test is used to assess the candidate’s ability in understanding the opinions, communication skills, developing the main ideas, and understanding the attitudes of the speakers.
IELTS Reading test Format:
IELTS reading test, the candidate should answer the variety of questions given from various books, an academic subject, newspapers, advertisements, company handbooks, and guidelines. This test includes the candidate’s reading skills, understanding logical argument, recognizing writer’s opinion, attitudes and purpose. The candidate can use pen or pencil to write the answers on a paper.
IELTS Exam Writing Format:
In the IELTS writing test, the candidate should complete two tasks given by the examiner. In task 1, the examiner asks the candidate to describe, explain or summarize the information for the given graph, chart or diagram. In task 2, the examiner asks to write an essay in response to a point of view, argument or problem. For writing test, separate sheets are given to complete task 1 and task 2.
Most of the candidates prefer IELTS pen and paper exam format because it is very easy to attempt. All the test results are calculated and reported by the certified IELTS examiner. These test results are necessary for higher education, immigration and global migration. The IELTS test results are reported between 0 and 9 to assess the English fluency of the candidate. Most of the universities accept the IELTS academic and general training results for higher education.
