PTE Academic question types:
PTE question types vary for every module. PTE means Pearson test of English, which is a computer-based test for assessing the English proficiency of the candidate, who want to study abroad or seek immigration. It is 3 hours test and the results will be reported within 5 days from the test date. Several institutions around the world accepted the PTE test scores for the admissions, including the countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA, and the UK.
PTE Question Types- Writing and Speaking
In the PTE test pattern, writing and speaking modules are conducted in one session while the reading and listening tests are conducted separately. PTE question types vary for every module.
In the speaking and writing section, the PTE question types are, a personal introduction, read aloud, repeating the sentence, answering the short questions, summarizing the written text, and writing an essay on the given topic.
In the personal introduction, the candidate must introduce themselves for 30 seconds. The candidate must read the text aloud, which is appeared on the screen.
Repeat the sentence after listening to the recorded sentence. Describe the image, which is appeared on the screen.
Re-tell the lecture after listening to or watching a lecture. Answer the questions with a single or few words, after listening to the recorded questions. Must write the summary of the passage with one sentence after reading the text. Should write an essay on the given topic in 200-300 words. The time given to complete this section is 77-93 minutes.
PTE Academic Question Types – Reading
The PTE Academic reading test evaluates the candidate’s reading skills. The test taker should follow the instructions given by the examiner to answer the questions. In this test, the PTE question types include, the candidate should answer the multiple choice questions on the content by selecting one response. The candidate should answer the multiple choice questions on the content by selecting more than one response. Re-order several texts or paragraphs, which are appeared on the screen in a random order. Read and write the fill in the blanks for the text appeared on the screen with several blanks. For this, the candidate must type the appropriate word to restore the content. The time given to finish the test is 32-40 minutes.
PTE Academic Question Types -Listening
The listening test includes questions based on several audio clips or video clips or recording, which are played only once. In this test, the PTE Academic listening question types are, summarizing the spoken text; multiple choice questions, choose multiple answers and single answer; fill in the blanks; highlight a correct and incorrect word from the recorded sentence; selecting a missing word; and writing the dictation. The time given to finish this test is 45-57 minutes.
Apart from listening and reading sections, there is also a summary section, in which the candidate has to read the given paragraph and answer the questions within 10 minutes.
